For those interested in hiking, consider joining our Weekend Warriors group.  You can also contact STRIDERS – walking on the Sunshine Coast – Monday mornings. Hikes take up to two hours and are usually followed by coffee or lunch. Some of the paths are muddy and uneven, and some are steep for short stretches but none are very strenuous. Locations for hikes include Smuggler Cove, Cliff Gilker Park, Soames Hill, Hidden Groves, and Gospel Rock. If you are interested in joining Striders contact mondaystriders@gmail.com. Car-pooling may be arranged.

Volunteering is a good way to get to know your community. The Sunshine Coast Volunteer Centre maintains a list of available volunteer positions that have been submitted by local organizations. Have a look and see if any might be suitable for you.

WELCOME WAGON  
Welcome Wagon – it's a wonderful way to say "WELCOME". A representative will deliver a "basket" full of information and resources as well as gifts and gift cards from many Sunshine Coast businesses, all free of charge! Anyone who has moved to or relocated on the Coast in the past year is eligible.  Also, expectant or parents of a new baby receive a "Baby Welcome" Basket up to 12 months from birth.
